New Chief Executive Officer for the Shire of Kent

Friday, July 9, 2010

It's been some time since I've posted to my blog. Apologies to those who use this blog to keep abreast of local government affairs in the Shire of Kent.

It's been a very busy period in the last few months, with our previous CEO, Alan Wright, retiring from Local Government. Alan served here for five years and undertook many projects in his time with the Shire of Kent.
We wish both Alan and his wife, Suzanne all the very best for their retirement in Narambeen.

New CEO, Peter Bentley, began his term in April and has hit the ground running. With the completion of various R4R projects to be signed off, new ones implemented and a budget to bring down in his first few months, he has certainly had his work cut out for him.

Peter has been seen around our communities at various functions and although Council haven't had an official 'welcome function', many people have taken the opportunity to chat with he and his family. We welcome you all to our Shire and look forward to a long and effective relationship.
