Following the October elections, the Shire of Kent has three new councillors. Cr Mark Stephens, a local business owner, Cr Gordon Browne, a farmer and Cr Renae Jury, also farming.

Farewell to Neil Grant-Williams and Lucy Skipsey and thank you for your input during your terms on Council.

Our new councillors were welcomed and ex-councillors thanked at a recent function held in the town of Pingrup. Volunteers from the various agencies and organisations within the Shire of Kent were also invited to attend a dinner catered by the Pingrup Primary School P & C.

A wonderful meal was enjoyed and Shire President Cr Cathy Crosby thanked everyone for their attendance and paid particular thanks to Neil Grant-Williams for his service to council over the years, many of them as Deputy President.

We have challenging and exciting times ahead of us.
